Find the congressional district for an address.

How it works

The address is geocoded first, then the point is tested against the 119th Congress district boundaries from TIGER/Line 2025. You get the district number, its name and the Census GEOID. Because the lookup starts from a point, it works for addresses that are hard to assign from a ZIP code alone; ZIPs cross district lines all the time.

Add stateleg to the same fields= list for state senate and house districts, or run a whole voter file through the spreadsheet geocoder with the Congressional district column ticked.

Notes

• The accuracy type matters here: a rooftop match places the address precisely; a ZIP centroid near a district line could land on the wrong side. Check accuracy_type before you trust a district near a boundary.
• Same unit price as a plain geocode. Appends are included.
