Find the state senate and house district for an address.

How it works

Geocode the address, then test the point against the state legislative district boundaries (SLDU and SLDL in Census terms). The response carries both chambers; states with a single chamber, and DC with its wards, return null for the one they do not have.

Combine with cd for the federal district in the same call: fields=cd,stateleg.

Notes

• Boundaries follow the vintage shipped in TIGER/Line 2025. Redistricting mid-cycle shows up in the next annual refresh.
• Near a line, check accuracy_type; a street-range interpolation is usually fine, a ZIP centroid is not.
